טיוטה של תשובה הלכתית. השאלה הנדונה: האם אדם לאחר מותו ממשיך לצבור זכויות ולדחות רעות? (השאלה פחות תמוהה ממה שהיא נשמעת — למשל, אם הקדיש וקף לצדקה, האם הוא ממשיך לזכות מכל מי שייהנה ממנו בעתיד?) התשובה היא שלא: אדם מתוגמל על פי הכוונה שהייתה לו בעת עשיית המעשה הטוב בחייו, ולא על פי מאורעות שמתרחשים לאחר מותו. בטקסט יש תיקונים ומחיקות. שתי שורות בתחתית הדף כתובות בכתב יד אחר.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Responsum draft. On the question whether a dead man continues to acquire merit and reject evil. (This is less whimsical than it sounds, e.g., if he has endowed a charitable waqf, does he continue to acquire merit from all the people it helps in the future?) The answer is no, he is rewarded on the basis of the intention that he had when he did the good deed in his lifetime, not on the basis of events that occur after his death.
