מכתב בערבית-יהודית שבו פונה גבר אל קרוב משפחה לעתיד מצד החיתון. הכלה שהתה בביתו של הנמען, והכותב מדגיש כי "אין לה אב ואח מלבדך" — כלומר על הנמען מוטל למלא את שני התפקידים הללו. הכותב מתנצל על שלא יוכל להגיע באופן אישי לחתונה, ומסביר זאת בכך שאשתו בהיריון ושהוא טרוד עד מאוד בענייניו. עם זאת, הוא מתחייב לצאת לדרך אם בגדי הכלה ומלבושיה יהיו מוכנים לחלוטין. כתב היד הוא פרטי, ונרכש על ידי אלן ז'אקה (Alain Jacquet) מנאנטר שבצרפת בקהיר בקיץ 1972.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in Judaeo-Arabic. In which a man addresses a future in-law. The bride was staying in the house of the addressee. "She has no father and brother except you," he writes, meaning that the person addressed had to replace both. He excuses himself from attending the wedding in person by saying that his wife is expecting and that he is extremely busy.
