בצד הוורסו: קבלה בכתב ערבי, שהוצאה עבור אבן מַזְהַר היהודי. שמו של הסופר מופיע בתחתית המסמך: אבו אל-מג'ד בן עלי. המסמך מתוארך לשנת 506 להג'רה (או אולי 560, אם כי אפשרות זו נראית פחות סבירה משיקולים פליאוגרפיים). סכום התשלום עמד על 4.5 (דינרים) במזומן, והוא רשום הן במילים והן בספרות יווניות/קופטיות. התשלום ניתן עבור דמי חכירת קרקע (חִכְּר) של מתחם בסוּק אל-כביר (אולי בפוסטאט?). יש לציין כי הסופר כתב "סוק אל-כביר" ולא "אל-סוק אל-כביר", בהשמטת ה' הידיעה — ככל הנראה בשל השמטת התנועה לאחר "פי" וההידמות לאות השמש בראש המילה "סוק".
Princeton Geniza Project description: Verso: Receipt. In Arabic script. For Ibn Mazhar the Jew. The scribe's name appears at the bottom: Abū l-Majd b. ʿAlī. Dated: 506 AH (or possibly 560, but this seems less likely on paleographic grounds). The payment was 4.5 (dinars) cash, which is written both in words and in Greek/Coptic numerals. The payment is for the ground rent (ḥikr) for a compound in the Sūq al-Kabīr (in Fustat?). The scribe has written sūq al-kabīr rather than al-sūq al-kabīr, omitting the definite article, probably due to elision of the vowel after fī and the consonant before the sun-letter in sūq.
