מכתב הממוען לאדם נכבד. נפתח בפתיחה ארוכה בעברית המהללת את ניסים בן לוי, ולאחר מכן עובר גוף המכתב לערבית-יהודית. השולח מתנצל על חלקו במחלוקת פומבית שהתקיימה קודם לכן בינו ובין הנמען ב"שוק הקטן" (אלסויקה), בנוגע לאופן הראוי להציג את הציצית — או ליתר דיוק, בנוגע למידותיה ולרוחבה הנכון. בשולי צד הוורסו ניכרים ניסויי קולמוס.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter to a dignitary. Opens with a long preamble in Hebrew singing the praises of Nissim b. Levi. The substance of the letter then continues in Judaeo-Arabic. The sender apologizes for his part in a public disagreement between the writer and the addressee that had previously taken place in ‘the small market’ concerning the correct display (or rather: width/dimensions) of tassels (ṣiṣit).
