Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter fragment in Judaeo-Arabic. Narrow paper with widened line spacing; ~10 lines from the middle section are preserved. The sender complains of someone who "took a group of ṭawwāfīn (vagabonds? Goitein suggests "Landstreicher") and gave them leadership over someone who had true leadership and distinction. . . " He emphasizes that he is not complaining for his own sake but fo the sake of Israel and someone who has stirred up controversy (maḥloqet) "in this city." The writer says he didn't know that these distressing matters would continue as they did. (Information in part from Goitein's index card.)
