חשבונות בערבית-יהודית הכוללים מערך נרחב של חישובים ואזכורים של אנשים רבים. תאריכים שונים מופיעים לאורך הדפים, וההתייחסות הברורה ביותר לשנה ספציפית מצויה בכותרת התחתונה בדף 4v: 20 בשעבאן __94 לה'. אין זה ברור מה התכוון הסופר באות הראשונה. מאחר שמוזכרים פקידים עות'מאניים שונים ותאריהם — בהם צ'אווש, בולוקבאשי וכיוצא בזה — מדובר ככל הנראה בשנה 994, 1094 או 1194 לה' (המאות השש-עשרה עד השמונה-עשרה). אזכורם של חברים מסוימים בקהילה היהודית בקהיר עשוי לאפשר הערכת תיארוך מדויקת יותר במחקר עתידי: בדף 4v מוזכרים יצחק אלאשקר ומרדכי מיוחס; בדף 2v מוזכרים דוד קסטרו ויצחק ראובן.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Accounts in Judaeo-Arabic with an extensive array of calculations and individuals referenced. Multiple dates appear throughout these folios and the clearest reference to a specific year is in the lower heading on JRL A 399, f. 4v– 20 Shaʿabān __94 AH (but it is unclear what the scribe intended with the first letter). Given that a variety of Ottoman officials and their titles are referenced– i.e. çavuş, bölükbaşı, etc. –this year was either 994, 1094, or 1194 AH (sixteenth-eighteenth centuries).
