תיעוד בית דין קראי בעניין הסכם שנחתם בעקבות שני מקרי גניבה (סרקה/سرقة) שביצע אדם בשם יעקב פירוז. התעודה מתוארכת לי"א בתשרי ה'תקמ"ז = 3 באוקטובר 1786. המסמך כתוב בלפחות שני כתבי יד שונים, אך התוכן המשפטי של כל רישום קשור ישירות לרישומים האחרים. הרישום הראשון מציין כי נכתב בביתו של ר' יום טוב. בעדים הנקובים בצד ב' (verso) נמנים: יפת בן שלמה דמשקי, חיים כהן המכונה חאט'ום, ויהודה שווייך. במטא-דאטה של "כתיב" המסמך מוגדר כפסק בית דין, אך אף אחד מן העדים אינו חותם בתואר דיין. הפרשה עוסקת במשה פירוז ובאביו יוסף פירוז, המתווכים מטעם בנם/אחיהם יעקב לאחר שגנב 280 ריאל משט (ייתכן שמדובר בטאלרים אוסטריים) מחנותו של משה חיינא. ייתכן שרישומים קשורים אלה היו כרוכים בעבר כחלק מפנקס בית דין רחב יותר, ועדויות לכריכה עשויות להיראות לאורך השוליים הפנימיים של הצד הקדמי והאחורי. בשלב כלשהו מוספר העמוד במספר "24" בצדו הקדמי, ככל הנראה כמספר דף ארכיוני בתוך הפנקס.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Qaraite court record(s) regarding an agreement that followed two cases of theft (סרקה/سرقة) committed by a certain Yaʿaqov Feyrūz. Dated: 11 Tishrei 5547 AM = 3 October 1786 CE. There are sections written in at least two different hands, but the legal content of each entry is directly related. The first entry notes that it was recorded in the home of R. Yom Tov. The witnesses named on verso include: Yefet b. Shelomo Dimashqī, Ḥayyim Kohen known as Ḥāṭūm, and Yehuda Shuwaykh. Ktiv metadata lists this shelfmark as a psaq beit din, however, none of the witnesses sign as judges. The case involves Moshe Feyrūz and his father Yosef Fayrūz who mediate on behalf of their son/brother Yaʿaqov following his theft of 280 riyal mashṭ (perhaps Austrian thalers) from the shop of Moshe Ḥayna. These related entries may have once been bound as part of a wider court register and the evidence of a binding may be visible along the inner margin of the recto and verso. At one point this page was label "24" on the recto, possibly as an archival folio number within the pinqas.
