שטר אירוסין (קידושין) קראי בין יעקב בן אברהם ברכה לבין רחל בת אברהם בן יוסף רופא המכונה צעיר. החתן מקבל על עצמו שאם ייעדר יותר משנה, מותר לאשתו ללכת לבית דין ולקבל את גט פיטוריה. האירוסין נערכים במסירת טבעת ובאמירת "שיר למעלות". מתוארך ליום רביעי, ח' בתשרי ה'תקט"ו לבריאת העולם (1754 לסה"נ). בשורות הסיום מוזכרים שלושה עדים, אך חתימותיהם אינן מופיעות כחלק מהמסמך: דודו של החתן יוסף בן יעקב המכונה ברכה, סעדיה בן אלעזר לוי, ואהרן כהן חזן בן יוסף כהן.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Karaite betrothal deed (qiddushin) between Yaʿaqov b. Avraham Barakha and Raḥel bt. Avraham b. Yosef Rofe aka Ṣaʿīr. The groom is taking upon himself that if he will be absent more than a year this wife is permitted to go to a beit din and receive her bill of divorce. The betrothal is done by giving a ring and reciting Shir la-Ma'alot. Dated Wednesday, 8th Tishrei 5515 AM (1754 CE). Three witnesses are mentioned in the closing lines but their signatures do not appear as part of the document: the groom's uncle Yosef b. Yaʿaqov aka Barakha, Saʿadya b. Elaʿzar Levi, Aharon Kohen Ḥazan b. Yosef Kohen.
