מכתב אל "בנו" של הכותב, עבד אלוואחיד. כתוב בערבית-יהודית. הכותב חוזר ומדגיש כחצי תריסר פעמים שהנמען אל לו להאמין לשמועות הכזב שלפיהן הכותב שמח לאידו. נהפוך הוא — אסונו של הנמען הוא אסונו של הכותב, ושמחתו היא שמחתו. עוד הוא כותב שאמו של הנמען מתפללת בעבורו ללא הרף.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter to the writer's 'son' ʿAbd al-Wāḥīd. In Judaeo-Arabic. The writer repeats half a dozen times that the addressee should not believe the false rumors that the writer gloats at his misfortunes. On the contrary, his misfortune is the writer's misfortune and his happiness is the writer's happiness. He further writes that the addressee's mother is constantly praying for him.
