תיאור

טיוטת שטר מתנה ובצדו השני תוספת. המקום: קושטנדינה (איסטנבול). התאריך: ניסן ה'ת"א לבריאת העולם, שהוא מרץ/אפריל 1641 לספירה. ציטוט הרשב"א, התלמודיסט הספרדי, בשורה 23 מאשש שהמסמכים הללו הוצאו במוסד רבני בקושטנדינה. דוד בן אברהם הלוי ואחיו יוסף בן אברהם הלוי ונשותיהם אירינייא בת כלב קוג'ינו ושיניירולה (?) בת יצחק מזל טוב מעידים שהם נותנים לאחותם ריקה בת אברהם הלוי את כל זכויותיהם בחנות שירשו מאביהם המנוח במדינת אנגורה (אנקרה), בשוק של מחמוט פאשא, בקטע של "הצורפים" (לצד הקויימגיש). זוהי כנראה גרסה של המילה הטורקית "kuyumcu" (צורף), אולי בצורת ריבוי בלאדינו: "kuyumcis". המסמך קופל לשניים, ועל אחד החצאים בצד השני (בזווית של 90 מעלות לטקסט שבצד הראשון) מופיעה טיוטת תוספת בכתב היד עצמו, העוסקת בתנאי הנישואין של ריקה ומשה, כאשר הנדוניה והתשלומים מסתכמים ב-500 גרוש. הרושם המתקבל מן התוספת הוא שבשלב מסוים תוכננה החנות להיכלל כחלק מנדונייתה של ריקה, אך אף אחד משני המסמכים לא הושלם בסופו של דבר.

Princeton Geniza Project description: Gift deed draft with an addendum on the verso. Location: Istanbul (קושטנדינה). Dated: Nisan 5401 AM, which is March/April 1641 CE. The citation of ha-Rashb''a, the Sephardi Talmudist, in l. 23 confirms that these documents were issued by a Rabbanite venue in Istanbul. David b. Avraham Levi and his brother Yosef b. Avraham Levi and their wives Irinia (אירינייא) bt. Kalev Cuchino/Cugino (קוג'ינו) and Senyerola (? שיניירולה) bt. Yiṣḥaq Mazal Ṭov attest that they are giving to their sister Rika bt. Avraham Levi all their rights to the shop inherited from their late father in Ankara (מדינת אנגורה) in the market of Mahmut Pasha in the section of the "jewelers" (לצד הקויימגיש). This rendering from Turkish "kuyumcu," may represent Ladino pluralization "kuyumcis". This document was folded in half, and one one of the halves on verso (at 90 degrees to the text on recto) there is a draft addendum in the same handwriting, concerning the marriage conditions of Rika and Moshe, with the dowry and payments adding up to 500 gurush. The addendum gives the impression that, at in point, the shop was intended to be listed as part of Rika's dowry (but neither document was ever completed). MCD.
