מכתב מאב, במקום לא ידוע, אל בנו אבו אל-[רביע?] סולימאן בפוסטאט. המכתב נועד להימסר בחנותו של אבו נצר אל-שראבי (ייתכן שמדובר באותו אדם המוזכר במסמך אחר) בשוק הברברים (סוּק ברברה?). כתוב בערבית-יהודית, ואילו הכתובת על גב המכתב כתובה באותיות ערביות. כתב היד נראה מוכר, אך אינו נראה ככתב ידו של אבו זכרי הכהן (שגם לו היה בן בשם אבו אל-רביע סולימאן). המכתב פגום למדי. השולח מתלונן ששלח כבר שמונה מכתבים קודמים ולא קיבל מענה כלשהו. נודע לו שבנו עוסק במסחר בחנות. אחד מן השניים — השולח עצמו או אשתו — "אובד" או "אובדת" (הלכת או הלכת), ככל הנראה מרוב דאגה בשל היעדר הידיעות. אמו של הנמען מוזכרת בשורה הלפני-אחרונה של המכתב.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from a man, in an unknown location, to his son Abū l-[Rabīʿ?] Sulaymān, in Fustat. To be delivered to the shop of Abū Naṣr al-Sharābī (same as in T-S AS 183.111 (PGPID 37875)?) in the Berber market (? sūq barbara). In Judaeo-Arabic, with the address in Arabic script. The handwriting is familiar but does not seem to be the handwriting of Abū Zikrī Kohen (who also had a son named Abū l-Rabīʿ Sulaymān). The letter is quite damaged. The sender complains about having sent eight previous letters and receiving no response. He has heard that his son is doing business in a shop. Either the sender or his wife is "perishing" (halaktu or halakat), presumably from anxiety over the lack of news. The addressee's mother is mentioned in the penultimate line. AA. ASE.
