עצומה או מכתב תודה על תגובתו החיובית של הח'ליף לעצומה קודמת. בכתב ערבי. שמורים קצותיהן של כ-11 שורות (לא ברור כמה טקסט, אם בכלל, חסר מצידן הימני של השורות). פותח בתפילות למלכות נצחית. "ואז קיבלתי את המכתב מחברו, ובו היו עותקי הצו שנכתב עבורו (=עבורי)... בנוגע לפיקדון... ושהוא היה אצל עבד אל-רחמן ב. [...], וכאשר ראיתי את הסבר הדבר הזה, שמחתי מאוד...." בהמשך מופיעות תפילות נוספות. נעשה בו שימוש חוזר בדף הקדמי לפיוט עברי.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Either or a petition or a letter of gratitude for the caliph's favorable response to a prior petition. In Arabic script. The ends of approximately 11 lines are preserved (it is not clear how much text, if any, is missing from the right sides of the lines). Opens with prayers for eternal kingship. "Then I received the letter from his companion, and in it there were the copies of the decree that was written for him (=me)... concerning the deposit... and that it was with ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. [...], and when I saw the explanation of this, my joy was great...." There follow more prayers. Reused on recto for Hebrew piyyuṭ.
