מכתב תחינה מאשתו של אבו אלפרג' אל אלשיח' אלת'קה, באזור אלמצאצה שבפוסטאט. כתוב בכתב ערבי. האישה פונה בייאוש אל הנמען ומבקשת את עזרתו, שכן בעל חוב לוחץ עליה בדרישה לתשלום. בעלה, אבו אלפרג', כלוא, והיא נאלצה למכור את חנותו כדי לפרוע את החוב. היא חוזרת ומדגישה לפחות פעמיים שהיא זו שאינה נוכחת בעוד הנמען כן נמצא במקום — ככל הנראה בבקשה שיבדוק מה שלום בעלה ויעביר אליה ידיעות עליו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter of plea from the wife of Abū l-Faraj to al-Shaykh al-Thiqa, in the Muṣāsa area of Fustat. In Arabic script. The wife is desperately seeking help from the addressee as a debtor is pressing her for money. The husband, Abū l-Faraj, is incarcerated, and the wife sold his shop to pay off the debt. She says at least twice that she is the one not present, while the addressee is, probably requesting to check on him and relay his news.
