מכתב בכתב ידו של אפרים בן שמריה (פעיל בשנים 1007–1055 לספירה). תיארוך: בערך 1026 לספירה (לפי גיל). המכתב מתייחס לנאום שנשא אבו אסחאק (אברהם בן סהלאן), חבר הישיבה הבבלית, בעניין דעיכת הסמכות השיפוטית הבלעדית של הישיבה הארצישראלית — קרי, סמכותו של אפרים בן שמריה עצמו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in the hand of Efrayim b. Shemarya (fl. 1007–1055 CE). Dating: Ca. 1026 CE (per Gil). Referring to a speech made by Abū Isḥāq (Avraham b. Sahlān), a member of the Babylonian yeshiva, concerning the eclipse of the exclusive juridical authority of the Palestinian yeshiva (i.e. the authority of Efrayim b. Šemarya).
