מכתב בספרדית עם טורים של חישובים מספריים בתחתיתו, שתאריכו ככל הנראה ה' בתמוז ה'תל"ז או 5 ביולי 1677. גב הקטע הוא למעשה העמוד הראשון של המכתב, והוא כולל כותרת מתוארכת המציינת את מקום הכתיבה כדמיאט (דמייט). מעט לפני תחילת החישובים מוזכר "ermano Aron de Abram" (אחי אהרן בן אברהם) בהקשר שעשוי להעיד על קשרי משפחה בין המוזכר לבין כותב המכתב (שורה 14r). בשורות 8–9r מופיע הצירוף "en comienda" כשתי מילים נפרדות, למשל בביטוי "dara la inclusa con mil en comiendas". מתחת לחשבונות מוזכר "ראיס פתיאח" (rais Fattiah), ככל הנראה רב חובל. הספרה "4" בתאריך דהויה ויש לקרוא אותה בהגדלה של 140%–200% עם ניגודיות גבוהה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in Spanish with columns of numerical calculations at bottom that appears to be dated 5 Tamuz 5437 or July 5 1677CE (the "4" is faint and must be read at 140-200% zoom with high contrast on FGP). The fragment's verso folio is in fact the first page of the letter and it includes a dated heading with the letter's place of recording as Damietta/Dimyat. Just before the calculations begin, "ermano Aron de Abram" is mentioned in what may indicate familial ties to the fragment's author (l. 14r). In lines 8-9r, "en comienda" as separate words is mentioned for example in the phrase: "dara la inclusa con mil en comiendas." Below the accounts one "rais Fattiah" is mentioned, perhaps a ship captain. MCD.
