מכתב בערבית-יהודית הממוען לאישיות נכבדה בשם שמואל, שלו בן בשם יוסף. המכתב נפתח בשיר. הסיפור המועבר בו קשה למעקב, וכולל אי-הסכמה כלשהי, כתיבת מכתב שלא נשלח, מישהו שהגיע לבית הכנסת, מישהו שיצא לאלכסנדריה, ובשורה עצובה שגרמה לכותב וליוסף לבכות ולצעוק. הכותב מבקש מהנמען להודות בשמו למורה נתן ולבקש ממנו לטפל בבנו של הכותב, משה. השיר נדון באתר גניזת חיפה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter in Judaeo-Arabic to a certain dignitary named Shemuel, who has a son named Yosef. It opens with a poem. The story conveyed in the letter is difficult to follow, involving a disagreement, writing a letter but not sending it, someone arriving to the synagogue, someone leaving for Alexandria, and sad news that made the writer and Yosef cry and scream. The writer asks the addressee to thank the teacher Natan on his behalf and to ask him to take care of the writer's son Moshe.
