מסמך משפטי בעברית. תאריך: ט״ו בסיון ה'ת״ק צ׳(?) לבריאת העולם — הספרה האחרונה אינה ברורה, וייתכן שהמסמך קדום יותר מ-1830 לספירה, וזאת בהתבסס על חתימת עד/סופר זהה שמופיעה במסמך אחר משנים 1750-1770 לערך. הגבאי הקהילתי מרדכי בייאלובוס מאשר כי קיבל לידיו פיקדון של 700 גרוש "אסדי" ("אריות") מלונה אלמנת שמואל מלכי, וכפי הנראה הוא עתיד להשתמש בכסף לצורכי השקעות ועסקים, כאשר חלק מן הרווחים יוקדש לתמיכה ביתומיו של המנוח, אליהו וסעד. המסמך מזכיר גם את קופת הקהל של קהילת המצריים, וכן שני גברים לא-יהודים המעורבים בהסדרים המשפטיים. שמות השניים הם אלישאן ומוריש'ו, ויתכן שמדובר באיות משובש של השם Mauricio או Maurizio. שני האישים הללו מכונים באופן בלתי שגרתי בכינוי "העמלק", במקום הביטוי המקובל "גויים" או "ערלים". לשימוש במונח "עמלק" בהקשר ללא-יהודים באימפריה העות'מאנית, ראו את מאמרו של אריה שמואלביץ על היחסים בין יהודים לנוצרים באימפריה העות'מאנית והמקרה הארמני.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Legal document. In Hebrew. Dated: 15 Sivan 5590(?) AM, the final digit is unclear and this document may be older than 1830 CE based on the identical witness/scribal signature c. 1750-1770 appearing on JRL Series L 20 (PGPID 30227). The communal gabbay Mordechai Bialobos (בייאלובוס) attests that he has received a deposit of 700 esedi gurush ("arayot") from Luna the widow of Shemuel Malkhi, which it seems he will use for investments and business, and a portion of the proceeds will go toward supporting the orphans of the deceased, Eliyyahu and Saʿd. The document also mentions the communal chest of the Miṣrīyīn congregation as well as two non-Jewish men who are involved in the legal arrangements. The pair's names are Alişan and Morisho, which may be an erratic spelling of Mauricio or Maurizio. The latter individuals are each referenced in an uncommon manner as "העמלק" (ha-ʿAmalek), instead of the formulaic convention "gentiles."
