תיאור של BL OR 10578B.1: מכתב ממַעַאני, ממקום לא ידוע, לאחיו מוסא בפוסטאט. המכתב כתוב בערבית-יהודית, ואילו הכתובת נכתבה בערבית: לשוק אלעטארין (שוק הבשמים), לאבן אלאמשאטי, שיועבר ל[...] אלחזאן, שיועבר לבנו מוסא. הכותב פונה אל אחיו ברגשנות עזה: "בחלב שינקנו ובבטן שילדה אותנו... אל תיתן לאביך לנתק אותי בגלל מה שאמרתי לו. אתה בעצמך צריך לקנות ממנו את הנייר... המעתיק... התאמץ (תג'דהד = תג'תהד) למעני". מכתב נוסף מאדם בשם מַעַאני לאחיו מוסא מצוי גם הוא (PGPID 25140), אך לא ברור אם מדובר באותם האנשים, שכן כתב היד העברי שונה. תיאור של T-S 8J15.28: מכתב מסוחר אלכסנדרוני המצוי במסע, אולי באזור המפרץ הפרסי, אל אחד מבני משפחתו. הכותב מבקש לבקר בבגדאד ובקבר יחזקאל לפני חזרתו הביתה, ומזכיר אנשים שונים ובהם מנצור וסאלם. המכתב נמשך אל צדו האחורי של הדף, שעליו מצויה גם טבלה אסטרולוגית בכתב ערבי. ראו גם את הערותיו המצורפות של גויטיין. ייתכן שמדובר באותו כתב יד של אשכול קטעי שירה המצוי תחת ערך אחר. צירוף: אלן אלבאום.

Princeton Geniza Project description: IB VI, 45. Description from BL OR 10578B.1: Letter from Maʿānī, in an unknown location, to his brother Mūsā, in Fustat. The letter is in Judaeo-Arabic with the address in Arabic: to [Sūq] al-ʿAṭṭārīn, to Ibn al-Amshāṭī, to be given to [...] al-Ḥazzān, to be given to his son Mūsā. "By the milk with which we were nursed and by the womb that bore us. . . do not let your father cut me off because of what I said to him. You yourself should buy the paper from him. . . the copyist. . . exert (tajdahid = tajtahid) yourself for me." T-S NS 306.113 (PGPID 25140) is another letter from a certain Maʿānī to his brother Mūsā, though it is not clear if these are the same people, as the Hebrew handwriting is different. Description from T-S 8J15.28: Letter from an Alexandrian trader who is on a journey, possibly in the Persian Gulf, to a family member. The writer wants to visit Baghdad and Ezekiel’s tomb before returning home, and mentions people including Manṣūr and Sālim.
