מכתב מאת יהודה בן אבראהים בן אלפרג', אולי בצהרג'ת, אל אבו אלחֻסַין עַלון בן מֻעַמַּר (כנראה זהה לעלי בן עמרם, ראש הקהילה הארץ-ישראלית בפוסטאט בשנים 1055–1066). הכתב ערבי. ידועים לפחות שני מכתבים נוספים מאותו שולח לאותו נמען. השולח מדווח כי מכתב הנמען הגיע, והקהילה מודה לו על כך. כמו כן הגיע מכתבו של נכבד רם מעלה בשם אבו אלחֻסַין (לא ברור מיהו, וכנראה אינו זהה לנמען); לאחר שמו מובאת ברכה ל"שלטונו" (אַדָאם אללה עִזּ סֻלטָאניה). בשורות 7–8 מאשר השולח קבלת קונטרסים (כֻּרָּאסַתַין(?)). הוא משמיע הצהרות נאמנות כלפי הנמען (אנא תלמידֻה ומַנסוב אליה). נוסף על כך, הוא מבשר כי אחיו הארון התברך בבן, אשר נקרא משה, וברית המילה שלו תיערך בשבת הקרובה. בהמשך המכתב, בצדו האחורי, מופיע נוסח של ברכות לברית מילה בעברית לנער משה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Yehuda b. Ibrāhīm b. al-Faraj, possibly in Ṣahrajt, to Abū l-Ḥusayn ʿAllūn b. Muʿammar (probably identical with ʿEli b. ʿAmram, the head of the Palestinian congregation in Fustat 1055–66). In Arabic script. There are at least two other letters with the same sender and same addressee: ENA 2465.8–9 (PGPID 34049) and T-S 13J13.2 (PGPID 944). The sender reports that the addressee's letter arrived, and the community send their gratitude to him. Also the letter of a high notable named Abū l-Ḥusayn arrived (it's unclear who this is, probably not the same as the addressee); his name is followed by a blessing for his "rule" (adāma Allāh ʿizz sulṭānih). In ll. 7–8 the sender acknowledges receipt of quires (kurrāsatayn(?)). He makes statements of loyalty to the addressee (anā tilmīdhuh wa-mansūb ilayhi). In addition, he conveys the news that his brother Hārūn was blessed with a son, named Mūsā, whose circumcision is on the upcoming Sabbath.
