גב: מכתב מאלעזר בן [...] הפונה למישהו ששמו לא נשמר. ששת השורות הראשונות הן שבחים בנוסח פיוטי, שמובילים אל הזכרת שם הנמען בשתי שורות מוזחות לפנים: [...] הוא כבוד גדולת קדושת. מוזכר ראש הקהילה. עניין המכתב מוצג במילים: אודיע לאדונינו ויקירנו כי. הכותב מתייחס לאנשים 'שאינם יודעים ימינם משמאלם', ומזכיר את בן דודו יחיא. ככל הנראה הכותב מבקש עזרה, אך הפרטים לא נשמרו. ככל הנראה מהמאה ה-11, אך אולי מאוחר יותר. גב: עקבות דיו.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: letter from Elʿazar b. [...] addressing someone whose name has not been preserved. The first six lines are poetically-phrased praises, leading up to the naming of the recipient in two indented lines:[...] הוא כבוד גדולת קדושת. Mentions the Rosh ha-Qehilla. The business of the letter is introduced by אודיע לאדונינו ויקירנו כי. The writer refers to people ‘who don't know their right from their left’, and mentions his cousin Yaḥyā. Presumably the writer is asking for help, but the details are not preserved. Probably from the 11th century, but possibly later. Verso: traces of ink. (Information from CUDL)
