מכתב. פותח בברכות נישואין בעברית, החל מציטוט מרות ד:יא-יב. לאחר מכן ערעור לקבלת עזרה ביהודית-ערבית. השולח מתאר עצמו כזר (ע'ריב) ומציע תירוצים שונים. שתי השורות בגב ממשיכות את אותו נושא (בכי, סמוכים, עוני). מוזכר יהודה הנשיא בשורה לפני האחרונה של הפנים, ככל הנראה שמו של השולח. (מידע חלקית מתוך CUDL)
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter. Opening with marriage congratulations in Hebrew, beginning with a quote from Ruth 4:11–12. This is followed by an appeal for assistance in Judaeo-Arabic. The sender describes himself as a stranger (gharīb) and offers various apologies/excuses. The two lines on verso appear to be written in a different hand or ink, but continue the same theme (weeping, dependents, poverty). There is a mention of Yehuda ha-Nasi in the penultimate line of recto, apparently the name of the sender (al-khādim Yehuda ha-Nasi). (Information in part from CUDL)
