מסמך מנהל המדינה. עצומה לח'ליפה אלמסתנצר בעניין רצח שאירע על סיפון ספינה. בנו של מגיש העצומה נסע יחד עם סוחר צעיר אחר מסרסנא לפווה ומשם לאלכסנדריה על ספינה שנשאה 500 דינר במזומן ו-200 דינר בסחורות, ובמהלך ההפלגה רב-החובל של הספינה והמלחים שדדו ורצחו את שני הסוחרים. בעצומה מתבקש הח'ליפה להוציא צו רשמי לסגניו של האמיר סנאן אלדולה, ובו הוראה לעצור את רב-החובל ואת המלחים. תיארוך: בקירוב 427–487 להג'רה (1036–1094 לספירה). המידע מבוסס על חאן. יש לציין כי קיימים שני מקומות במצרים הנושאים את השם סרסנא, האחד בדלתא והשני בפיום, וככל הנראה מדובר כאן ביישוב שבדלתא.
Princeton Geniza Project description: State document. Petition to the caliph al-Mustanṣir regarding a murder on a boat. The son of the petitioner was traveling with a young fellow-merchant from Sirsinā to Fuwwa and then Alexandria on a boat carrying 500 dinars in cash and 200 dinars in goods, when the captain of the boat and the sailors robbed and murdered the two merchants. The petition asks that the caliph issue an edict to the lieutenants of the amīr Sinān al-Dawla to arrest the captain and the sailors. Dating: ca. 427–87 (1036–94). (Information from Khan) Note that there are two places in Egypt called Sirsinā, one in the delta and the other in the Fayyūm. This appears to be the one in the delta.
