מכתב מאת שלמה בן יהודה גאון (כיהן בשנים 1025–1051) אל ראש קהילת הבבליים במצרים, סהלאן בן אברהם. במכתב מודה הגאון לסהלאן על שהעביר תרומה של עשרה דינרים המיועדת לעניי ירושלים, ומסביר את סירובו לשאול מן "השלישי" את המדרש על שיר השירים (מדרש חזית) ולהעתיק עבור סהלאן קטעים ממנו. המכתב מתוארך לערך לשנת 1048, לפי תיארוכו של גיל. בצד ה-verso: כתובת בערבית.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from Shelomo b. Yehuda Gaʾon (r. 1025–1051) to the head of the Babylonian community in Egypt, Sahlan b. Avraham, thanking him for forwarding a donation of ten dinars destined for the poor in Jerusalem, and justifying his unwillingness to borrow a midrash on the Song of Songs (Midrash Hazita) from the 'Third' and copy bits out for Sahlan, approximately 1048 CE (per Gil).
