Princeton Geniza Project description: Late accounts on the recto and verso mentioning Avraham Ibn Shanjī (or Ben-Shanjī?) in the main heading. Dating: probably late-fifteenth or sixteenth-century based on the mention of Avraham Ibn Shanjī: a well-known merchant who appears in a variety of fragments and died by 1547 CE. For the pre-1547 CE estimate of Avraham Shānjī's death, see: Bodl. MS heb. e 98/57 (PGPID 19538). Based on the heading, the accounts deal with shipments of beans (אלפול) measured by the ardabb– which was still equivalent to 70 kg or 90 liters in early modern Egypt. MCD.
