מסמך משפטי (recto). המקום: אלכסנדריה, בין השאר על פי שמות המעורבים. התאריך: כ"ב בסיוון ד'תת"ב = 15 ביוני 1042. במסמך מתייצבים בבית הדין נחים בן מימון וח'ליף בן פריח' זברג', בשבוע שלאחר מותה של סרורה בת נחים, אשתו של ח'ליף בן פריח'. אחותה של סרורה, סת אלדאר, הייתה מאורסת קודם לכן לח'ליף בן ישועה נארוז בעודה ילדה בת שבע, בתנאי שהאחרון יכניסה לביתו לאחר שלוש שנים. כעת מצוין כי היא תינשא לח'ליף בן פריח' במקום אחותה. המסמך כולל עדויות של החזן סהל בן משה, נחמן בן צדקה, שרי בן חיים המלמד, אזהר בן שמעון, מבשר בן נחום ואחרים. ראו רשומה נפרדת עבור הטקסט הערבי שבצד ה-verso.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: Legal document. Location: Alexandria, based in part on the names of the people involved. Dated: 22 Sivan (4)802 AM = 15 June 1042 CE. In which Nuḥaym b. Maymūn and Khulayf b. Furayḥ Zibrij present themselves to court in the week after the death of Surūra, daughter of Nuḥaym and wife of Khulayf b. Furayḥ. Surūra’s sister, Sitt al-Dār, had previously been engaged to Khulayf b. Yeshuʿa Nārūz as a girl of seven on condition that the latter would bring her home after three years. It is now indicated that she shall marry Khulayf b. Furayḥ in her sister’s place. The document includes testimonies by the cantor Sahl b. Moshe, Naḥmān b. Ṣedaqa, Sarī b. Ḥayyim the teacher, Azhar b.
