Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter (ending only) addressed to David Ben-Naʿim and Moshe Ben-Naʿim in Alexandria ( נא אמון) presumably from their father, Meʾīr, who only signs with his initials MBN. Written in Judaeo-Arabic (body) and Ladino (address). Dating: the Ben-Naʿim brothers worked for a short timespan together in Alexandria during the early 1820s and their father died c. 1825 CE. In the opening lines Meʾīr expresses his hope that Raḥel is doing well, after working for four months and being exhausted. This is probably a reference to the letter recipients' sister, who may have also been in Alexandria at the time. The final lines of the letter close with greetings from a long list of other family members who are present (probably in Cairo). This letter fragment may belong with one or more of the nearby shelfmarks. MCD.
