מכתב מקהילת ירושלמים בפוסטאט, בכתב ידו של החזן יפת בן דוד בן שכניה, מתמוז (יולי) 1028. ר' שלמה בן יהודה מונה זה עתה לראש החדש של הישיבה בירושלים, ובני קהילת הירושלמים שבפוסטאט פונים אליו במכתב זה כדי לקבל את אישורו המחודש למנהיגם ולדיינם — אפרים בן שמריה.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter from the Jerusalem community in Fustat, in the hand of ha-Hazan Yefet b. David b. Shekhanya in Tamuz (July) 1028. R. Shelomo b. Yehuda was appointed to be the new head of the Yeshiva in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem community in Fustat are writing to get his re-approval for their leader and judge - Efrayim b. Shemarya.
