Princeton Geniza Project description: Recto: Legal query addressed to Avraham Maimonides, with the title "Nagid" (thus post-1213 CE). In Judaeo-Arabic. Concerning the ransoming of female Jewish captives enslaved by the Franks at ʿAkkā (Acre), also mentioning Haifa. An Egyptian Jewish emissary had failed to redeem them, so he turned to the Ayyubid prince al-Malik al-Muʿaẓẓam at Damascus (r. 1218–27).
