מכתב של החזן יפת בן שכניה לנמעניו במצרים. החלק המתועתק של המכתב מתאר כיצד הגיע לעכו אך לא נטל מהקהילה תרומות כלשהן, משום שנודע לו כי כבר אספו תרומות עבור אלחנן בן שמריה, מנהיגה הרבני של יהדות מצרים בראשית המאה ה-11. על פי תיאור נוסף (PGPID 1135): מדובר במכתב מיפת בן דוד בצור אל אביו דוד בן שכניה (בערך 1008–1011 לסה"נ). המכתב עוסק במגבית (פסיקא) שנערכה בעכו עבור החזן הצעיר חוסיין בן דאוד בן סכן מפוסטאט, הידוע יותר בשמו יפת בן דוד בן שכניה.

The transcribed portion of the letter describes how he came to Acre but did not take any donations from the community, for he learned that they already collected donations for Elhanan b.
