מכתב הממוען לאדם בשם עבד אללטיף. כתוב בערבית-יהודית. מתוארך לתקופה הממלוכית, בערך המאות ה-13–15. (אשתור מתארך אותו ככל הנראה למחצית השנייה של המאה ה-15, אך לא ברור על מה הוא מבסס זאת.) השולח מדווח על מסעו בנילוס לסמנוד ומשם לג'וג'ר לרגל פורים, וכן על עסקאותיו המסחריות לאורך הדרך. בכוונתו לשוב לקראת חג הפסח. הוא נוסע בחברת "פרנק" (אפרנגי), הנער או המשרת של אלמעלם יוסף. בסיום הוא מוסר דרישות שלום לבני משפחה שונים, ובהם סֻתַיתה ובנה מוסא, אלסת סעאדאת, השכן רבי יוסף ואשתו, שמואל ובנו מוסא, ועוד אחרים.
Princeton Geniza Project description: Letter addressed to a certain ʿAbd al-Latīf. In Judaeo-Arabic. Dating: Mamluk-era, ca. 13th–15th century. (Ashtor apparently dates it to the second half of the 15th century but it's not clear on what basis.) The sender reports on his Nile trip to Sammanūd and then to Jūjar for Purim as well as his business transactions along the way. He intends to return for Passover. He is traveling with a "Frank" (אפרנגי), the boy/servant of al-muʿallim Yosef. Greetings to various family members including Sutayta and her son Mūsā, al-Sitt Saʿādāt, the neighbor Rabbi Yosef and his wife , Shemuel and his son Mūsā, and some others.
